Description Let me be your Guardian Angel - FULL 3D RENDER

Cinema4D R11.5 RENDER
Advanced Renderer using GI (Global Illumination) and PyroCluster and a complex light and reflection system.

This is a MultiLayer & MultiPass Render. The final image resolution is about 5000 pixel.
The Angel is a V4 Mesh with improved texture shaders.

Everything in this image is 3D rendered. I used the C4D module PyroCluster for the clouds and the C4D light system for the rays of light.

This is my compliment version to my female angel render here:

First render tests here:

The 3D wireframe of RAPHAEL can be seen here:

Liked this a lot. Especially enjoyed the Β complexity in the Β facial expression and your use of shading on the outstretched arm. He is a winged beauty.

This is really well done!

In addition to the obviously handsome figure, I particularly like how you handled the wings (which look like they come from his back not merely his shoulders) and the loincloth (seems to have genuine heft and texture!).

So yeah, I may love you just a little bit. XP
It's like you took all the things that I absolutely adore, stuck them into one picture, and then made that picture so lifelike that I'm kind of waiting for it to walk out of my laptop.
So, just to clarify: I love angels, you got his wings down absolutely fantastically! The contrast between the reaching hand on the left and the raised sword on the right is beautifully poetic (if not slightly ironic, especially since I'm fairly certain that Raphael is the Healer of Heaven). His body is down perfectly and the cloth he's wearing just completes everything in a subtle kind of way...And I love white/silver hair...like a ridiculous amount.
So yeah...
marry me? XD

By saying "marry me!" you are talking to Raphael, right?!!
I am realy happy to have such a big fan in you. Thank you once again.

I started human renders on year ago. I realy like it. This is my last render: [link]

Haha, you're more than welcome. Something this awesome needs a bit of gushing praise...or a lot of praise.
I can't believe it's only been a year and you're doing stuff like this. That's amazing.

Both angels are extremely well done....I noticed you did a brief but useful "how'd ya do that" (hehe) thumnails...but you should do a DVD or Book...you're extremely gifted...i know you are using a 3D rendering program...but you've got it down..the male and female finished compositions are close to real...not fake looking at all. Bravo to you...MR. *****

Tehre is a special way to create clouds called "pyrcluster" its is a module in Cinema4D for creating pyro clustrical effects like dust, clouds, steam, fire, smoke....

I try to give very much attention to the skin shaders and the eyes. I thinks this are the most important things when it comes to human 3d renders...

I know that is perfect for a book cover and it is designed for this.
My idea was to do this image for a cover design. I have some some experience in doing book covers. You know, Layout, Typogaphy, PrePress and so on...

How long did that take you?!? It looks so beautiful, and the detail! I admit i don't know the first thing about 3D, but wow!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mike-reiss In reply to The-Death-Queen [2010-04-09 13:28:50 +0000 UTC]

It took a while to get the light setup right, so the skin surface.
It was quite complex because the clouds are rendered in 3D too. The complete image is on big 3D scene.
Dont ask me about the render time!

The special part on that 3d rendering is, that even the background is a direct 3d render using pyroclustrical shaders....

This is one of the most complex 3D renders I have ever done.
Even the clouds and the light rays are direct 3D renders.... I am glad you like it!
