(UPDATED 8/30/2013)Did you ever really think about her kingdom... or her family?
We had a lot of concepts for a Princess Peach picture to work with, and ended up going with this one. We still really want to do some more though!

Yeahhh, the last version was kind of rushed for a con, and we had to quickly end this picture that had a lot of elements to it -- some of them being things that were new to us. So after coming back to it a year later, it was really easy to see what needed to be changed, and how we would/should have done it originally if we would have had more time!

Whoa, that's very cool...I love her eyes, eyes and hair and the mushrooms. Is this based off of the SMB movie? (I seem to remember her father was a fungus in that one) Nice work.

It is based off the SMB movie!! We did not actually see the movie ourselves, but a friend told us about Peach's father and we came up with this idea for a family portrait of the mysterious family. That is awesome that you knew!

No problem! Really, it wasn't used that much, so I do not know why I was surprised. And we forgot to put it on the prints at Sakura-con so don't think that you just totally missed it that whole weekend somehow, ahaha.

Funny. I'd bet her family was human, though (I say that the Toad she calls "Grandma" in SMRPG is just a close friendly servant of hers.).

From some trivia that we heard about, it seems that Peach is not human, or at least shouldn't be. Her family/kingdom is all mushroom! In one of the movies, her father is shown as a large, disgusting mushroom sort of creature. Maybe she has just transformed or is wearing some sort of disguise...
