Description By request from RobinsArtist, here is a fanart of Lady Jaye. I ended up using cartoon screencaps as reference since I could not find jack squat from the comics in an hour of googling (and my old marvel age comics had most everyone ELSE). As I posted earlier, until they aired the episode "Skeleton in the closet" I really considered Scarlet and Covergirl to be the only female "Joes". Seeing Lady Jaye running about in her nighties it suddenly stuck me, "She's a girl!". So when I was thinking of how to draw Jaye I decided that the way I see her she would be best drawn smoking a cigarette and loading a pistol. I didn't want to draw her any more masculine looking than that, or I'd have to have her whole jacket unbuttoned for anyone to tell, "she's a girl". XD

I think I remember you telling me about this character years ago. Yea I definitely don't like chics that look like dudes, but based on your original description of the character my guess is that you have done her favors with this representation.

Well, for one I gave her longer hair than I've ever seen her drawn with (though still short enough to still look like her). I must say, people with ambiguous genders are to me like a great disturbance in the force to master yoda. It's just freaky when you stare at somebody and realize you'd have to "check their change" to know if it was a guy or a gal.

Wow, that was mind-numbingly fast As I suspected, she looks great in your style. The cigarette is an interesting touch. Part of me doubts that a soldier who would need to be in the shape she's in would smoke, but on the other hand, given her specialty and her ability to blend in to any environment, I would think she'd need that from time to time, given the kind of localess and crowds she might have to frequent. It certainly makes her look tougher. A+, man--and of course . Thanks for doing this!

I sketched her in a couple of hours last night. I'm glad you like it. Since she is an expert in undercover work and specialized european cultures and they mostly smoke it would not be surprising that she does. Besides Snake Eyes and a bunch of the others are Nam vets and most of them who didn't smoke before the war started.

Makes sense to me--although I bet Snake Eyes dropped the smoking once he went all ninja.

I never read enough of the comics to know for certain, but the Punisher and Nick Fury both still smoke (and Fury is part of a special government team and a pretty physical guy).

Yeah, Nick Fury's got that Infinity Formula thing workin's for him, though (the one that keeps him from looking old enough to have fought in WWII). Trust me, though--the Hard and Soft Master of Snake Eyes's and Storm Shadow's ninja clan would not have put up with that stuff for long.

Wouldn't be surprised if Flint's been puffin' 'em since LJ died, though . . .
