And the posting continues!
Today, I bring you a coat dress I spend all of yesterday making. I have long loved ~FairyteaCat BEFORE this individual came to deviantart and have spammed through her etsy shop in awe.
Obviously, I will never come close to FairyteaCat's splendor... please, check her out!... But I did have a go at her style of coat simply for want of seeing if I could.

I'll be using this coat for a LARP in which I play a water elf.
The coat is made from blends of stretch cotton, stretch knit fabrics, and cotton/lyra blends. Handwash only, because this fella will shrink otherwise! >__<
The hood is functional and there is a detachable strap to secure the neckline if worn as a dress. It can also be unzipped and worn as an open coat, but it's just not as cute, in my opinion.

How much of a pain in the butt was this? All of the pain in the butt. The cutting and sewing of each individual piece is maddening... I'll wait a few weeks before I try doing this again....
