SeeU, the new Korean vocaloid, is just too cute. Excuse my shameless colour-lust.Rushed it a bit in the end :/ Could have done better.

This is just my opinion, but on the hands, I would make the shading have smooth edges. Sharp edges like that make the skin look.. unnatural. I'd only leave a sharp edge if there was an object casting a shadow (like bangs or another body part) on the hand. I know I sound all "Well I think blahblah", but just throwing it out there. :T
Basically, skin = smooth shading (unless there's something casting a shadow or you're cell shading)
..It's just a "me" thing. xD
But, that's just how I would do it. I know everyone has their own opinions and styles. c:

Hi! I saw the youtube colouring vid, and i just wanted to ask how you can paint over the line up with out covering cuz everytime i try to colour that happens. it's really frustrating

It's all to do with layers.
So, I'll have my line art on the top layer, and then my colour layers all below it c:
That way the lines are always on top of my colour.
