Done with liquid watercolours and a pen.

Hy there :3! I ususally paint with Dr. Ph. Martin's liquid watercolours or "Schmincke" watercolours. They are really pretty I think!
But the brand isn't so important I think. If you want to start to paint with watercolours just be sure there is a "high colour density" (I'm sorry but I'm not quite sure how to translate this xD)

While I'm a fan of your watercolor work in general, I believe the way you applied shadows and highlights to the folds of his shirt was masterfully done.
