Oh, look, fanart. Wait... what?

... Is it a good or bad thing to admit that we watch MLP? ... And enjoy it?

Anyway. I'm in a bit of an art funk; I had two major AC projects in the works but one is too embarrassing to put up (and it's only lineart...!) and the other has no traction to even put pencil to paper.

So 6:00 one morning I'm trying to debug a computer and this popped up in the sketchbook while I was waiting for progs to load. I figured: I'll take it, and scanned it once I was done.

Mirror came home when I had left the screen opened and just sort of when "oooooooooh." I'll take that to mean it's good. I tried a different technique for this. I don't know yet if I fully subscribe to it, but it was really cool watching it come together. I'll definitely try it again.

So:

What I like: the atmosphere. Cheap though the background it it's all dark and moody, and some of the effects came out awesome. Fluttershy's eyes and expression (this should surprise no one), and the bunny's anatomy.

What I don't like. Parts of Fluttershy's anatomy is off, her hing quarters and her back. The trees in the background are cheap and lazy, but the whole point is to do short pieces instead of long ones, so meh.
