One of my finals last quarter for Fudementals of Painting. An all white still life. The intention was to paint the light and shadows. The image wraps around to the sides as well, though you can't see it in the picture. As for the picture itself, I'm sorry about the crappy camera-phone quality as I took the picture with one.
It was rushed in the end and some parts were done looking at a photo. But overall, for my second ever oil paint on canvas I'm happy with it. =^^= Oils rock!Oil on 30"x40" canvas.
Objects in the painting: Watering can, various flower pots & a sheet.

*cries* this picture looks exactly like the white still life we was recamened to do in my art class. It was my nightmare.... I didn't do that bad though ^^

wow!! This is incredibly well done! White is a really hard colour to get right in the lighting department. I love how you did it. Especially the folds.

oil is my paint of choise, but i dont have that much control of it yet. im kinda teaching myself, so its realy rough, and theres not too any sharp edges with me. lovely work though. awsome sence of value.

Wow, sweet work Tiinalina. If it's two things I suck at art-wise, it's painting and folds, so you've impressed me on both accounts.

I used to think the same thing about myself. I would avoid the oil paint section of the art store like the plague. It took a crazy ambitious teacher to get me to finally try them.
Pencil still is still my favorite, but I'd suggest just picking up a few colors of an inexpensive brand and experamenting with oils. You may surprise yourself.

What's crazy, is that it looks even better in person. I'm glad you decided to post it. You've got a variety of talents, and it's good to see you showing off your "Oil-Painting Skillz".
