Absolutely wonderful piece.
The shading and composition can't be faulted.
My only criticism is that Lara's face just seems blank. There isn't any rage, fear or a look of concentration. It's just a glamour, vacant expression. A lot of the pieces for this contest seems to suffer from this sin too, having a girl who is battered and bruised, but with the same vacant, pouty expression. Put a bit of passion in the girl!

I agree. I've actually come to strongly dislike this specific expression. It's far overused and emotionless.
I think it adds much more enjoyment to an art piece like this to have an expression that actually shows the correct emotion. It makes it feel more real and more like it's in motion.

Battle damage! That's awesome. But she looks too youthful and fragile, IMHO. This is a woman who has toughed elements and fought bad guys. She needs to be weathered and tough.
