Finally finished! I've been at this piece all day and man was it worth it...i'm really happy with how it turned out!
This is for my one of my Best friends outside of the DA community named Amanda 
She loves Ariel and the little mermaid so I did a little scene with her chatting with Ariel and friends
What do you think they are talking about
Post some funny captions in the comments and whoever makes Amanda laugh the most when i show her will get a free headshot of their character!

i just bought the flash CS4 for dummies book and after the first 2 chapters i'm feeling MUCH more confident than i did a week ago LOL I highly recommend getting a for dummies guide if you ever want to give it a try...when i get good at it I'm definitely going to make tutorials for flat beginners out there too! I looked for days before buying the book and I gotta say for as popular that program is, there's not a whole lot of simple tutorials for beginners. I'm going for really crazy stuff though XD I'm doing interactivity within my comic...so i'm gonna need a lot of studying

That sounds like a lot of fun, though. xD I may have to take a trip to Barnes and Noble one of these days, lol. I should also get a PhotoShop book at some point, I think there's probably a whole lot more to do in that program that I'm not doing.

well not really...i mean it depends on what you really want to do, remember photoshop was designed for photo editing, not a lot of illustration. Let me know if you're looking for a certain function. I have a photoshop book and have taking a few college courses for it so feel free anytime....I'll tell you though, Tom Bancroft (ex disney animator) recommended Manga Studio 5 to me awhile back and I gotta say I am just blown away, it's the most in depth completely artist geared program i've ever seen/used. I don't think i will ever go back to SAI or PS or anything ever again ...LOL You should really look into getting it. It's not too pricey and it's a got a lot of online learning resources and books. I can't imagine what you'd do with a program like that...XD! The painting tools are amazing and the pencil tool is so realistic to graphite on paper...i sometimes can't tell which of my sketches are scanned in anymore ...hahaha!
