Not a real woodblock but inspired by them...too much Kuniyoshi on the brain, this is the result. I didn't go all the way and do a total ripoff, I mean, homage but it was still fun.A powerful fox spirit does battle with a vile octopus monster, his holy halo flares as he gathers his chi for the final strike...

that's cool that you put a closer version beside it because it's like a screencap from a cartoon-in-action, so you can see the facial expression. lol I really like the unique ear you gave him! The only messed up part about him is that he's not even grasping his spear, like it's levitating below him or something. Anyway, tis still a great painting!

Hahaha..yeah the spear seems like it's going to slip from his grasp, right? I gave him this gentle grip because it's like this moment of serenity right before he unleashes his strength..his spear floats for a split second in his grasp...
