Description A little expirament in etching metal...will make better ones soon. This was a test so I didnt want to put too much into it just in case it didnt turn out well.

I'm very happy and excited though! Hooray!

Wow great work! I'm browsing copper etchings because I really have my mind on making one very soon. Let me ask you please, in this work, is this a 4x10" sheet that you can buy from online hobby stores? What thickness is it? I'm wondering if a 0.036in sheet (the thickest I could find) is enough for a discerning etch..
Is the lighter part the etched one ?

Thanks, what a gallery!

Oh, this is excellent work. I love a good etching, and the subject material - well, I like your style anyway, but it all comes together so well for this etching and this subject.

I enjoy etching myself, I am happy your first piece turned out so well. I am interested what you used for a resist as I am always looking for more ways to work. Your lines are very clean and clear, must have taken you a while to set it up.I look forward to seeing more of your work.....

Looks fantastic! The black patina really sets it off - gives it a woodcut kind of feel. Heck, if you were inclined to make them smaller you could probably make a whole line of pendants which I'm certain would sell really well for you.

Ooooh, wow. Looks great for a first try.

Do you have to treat the copper with something to keep it from going patina?

Yay! Copper plate! Intaglio! You might be able to make prints of it! Though, where you carved is going to be black. You might experiment with it some. :3
