thanks! i spent like 40+ hours on just coloring this darn thing, it was for a contest, and the original artist didn't even award a winner!! she was like "meh, they all suck" or something. last time i looked at _her_ page.

thanks it's all digital - i quadrupled the size of the downloaded image, added a couple layers and colored in the new layers using a wacom pad, about 3 days worth of painting to get a lot of detail in. if i had a good fractal paint program it might take a little less, a lot of the effect i'm trying to get in textures in this and another couple i'm working on is just supposed to be like fractalish noise.

I looked at alot of the entries and there are a lot of nice ones. I spent a lot of time on mine and the detail's more than most but it's just because of the time I spent. The colors are similar to many of the others and not as nice as quite a few.

Well I want to be a professional artist so that's what I'm spending most of my time on now, that and my family and cats.

Really? I don't know if I've ever been. I don't seem to have much memory for such things. I'm always dreaming different places and lives and such, but I don't know what order anything's in or names or anything, it's just real when I'm there then this is real then whatever. Maybe I'll go visit someday.
