Description Ever wonder how sequoia trees grow so large? Well here's a clue - they eat rocks (This photo was taken in Sequoia National Park).

Thanks. The tree is probably well over a thousand years old already so it may not be around in another thousand (though the oldest known sequoia tree based on ring count is 3200 - give or take a month). So if you want to see it, I wouldn't wait more than 500 years.

How come wood does not have rocks in it then, or is it only sequoias?
