Description
A conception of the leader Saladin who fought against the Crusaders in the 12th century. I came across so many different versions of him and his armour that I just went with an amalgamation of sorts looking at old and new sources - things like Kingdom of Heaven as well as the Osprey books on Saladin and the SaracensRelated content

KOH was my first thought on seeing this.Β Also reminds me of the art works in Crusader Kings II which have a similar style.

KoH seems a good resource for this period i feel and there is a website out there from some armour expert/enthusiast who details about how much of an effort KoH went to with making its maille accurate - with only a few small inaccuracies to note. I didnt think of Crusader Kings2 - that game does have great art though
