- “Supervision” – downtown Ürümqi (乌鲁木齐市 / ئۈرۈمچى شەھىرى), Xinjiang, China, July 1997
- On my way to the central bus station for leaving to Kashgar, at about 6 a.m. the streets were still almost empty. So this hawker was crossing the main junction savely, when I shot him through the struts of a pedestrian bridge.
