Description "All the unbelievers will burn!"

A clone of the Decepticon Starscream, Sunstorm was the only successful subject (survivor) of Shockwave's experiment to fit a solar powered fusion reactor into the body of a Transformer. Shockwave's experiment proved too successful in Sunstorm's case making the Seeker into a living battery of solar flame and nuclear power, making him one of the most powerful Transformers in existence.

Driven completely insane when he was accidentally infused with massive amounts of data from the super computer Vector Sigma, Sunstorm came to believe his non-stop nuclear energy was holy power granted to him by the ancient god Primus and believes himself to be a living embodiment of his God's will.

Sunstorm also believes that his purpose is to use his "divine" powers to deal righteous judgment on all sinners and purify their sparks with his "Holy Fire". His judgment is swift, painful, and relentless in it's fury.

Autobots, Decepticons and any other sentient beings that he deems blasphemous are subject to his fire and brimstone recitations of Holy Writ from the Covenant of Primus (Book of Primus) as he burns them into smoldering ash.

You can probably find the collected trade of the storyline online if you look around. Your probably not going to spend more than 25 bucks for it.

It's fine if you like them I just really dislike them.

I mean I grew up with the original toys and cartoon and the movie ones just don't measure up. Most of them look evil or silly facially, all of their bodies are so cluttlered with sharp points and needless crap they just look like walking piles of junk rather than highly advanced robotic beings.

I mean compare how Starscream looks in the original cartoon and how they made him look in the live action movie. One looks like a badass and the other looks like a triangle with legs.

And don't even get me started on what they did to Jetfire. They took one of the coolest characters in the comics and cartoons and made him into a walking old man joke.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

hamsterand2dogs In reply to MJMJR [2011-10-01 21:32:24 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that's totally understandable. I can see why anyone who grew up with the G1 cartoon and toys wouldn't be fond of the movies.

But I like the movies (well, at least I like the first movie and can tolerate the second one, but I despise the third) because they sparked my love of Transformers and got me to remember that I watched a couple of Transformers shows when I was younger, but my memory of those shows is so bad that I'm not sure if I saw Beast Wars or Beast Machines, one or all of the three shows from the Unicron Trilogy. They also got me to do research on previous incarnations and watch some episodes from them. For that, I am grateful to the movies.

I do love G1 Starscream's design in the original cartoon and Bayverse Starscream is certainly never going to win any beauty contests, but giant metal Dorito or not, the both of them each hold a special place in my heart.

Alright, then I won't get you started... Or maybe I should, people just need to rant sometimes.

I actually liked the first movie until they killed Jazz and then made it so Bumblebee is some kind of goofy comic relief character. I also dislike that all of a sudden nobody can repair anything from their species. Bumblebees voice, Jazz being ripped in half none of these things can be repaired in the Bayverse but in every other medium the Transformers are in they would be minor or serious injuries that could be fixed eventually.

It's fine if you like the movie designs but I can't get behind them or even bring myself to like what they did to any character.

Honestly if I sit here and list everything I hate about the movies it would literally read like a novel. I'm the same with the Resident Evil movies.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

hamsterand2dogs In reply to MJMJR [2011-10-03 03:07:10 +0000 UTC]

Well I guess Bay killed off Jazz for drama or for some other lame excuse. I have to agree, Bumblebee's voice shouldn't have been that difficult to repair, and apparently not even the Allspark can fully repair it if ROTF is to be believed.

Cool then, we agree to disagree on this.

 I bet it'd be pretty entertaining. Oh god those movies. They confuse me so much.

Revenge of the Fallen can't be believed, that's the point I'm making.

yes

Those movies should be called Mary Sue Alice ruins Resident Evil. Play any of the games made before RE5 and follow their storylines and they will blow your mind. I gave up on the movies after part 2 when they managed to ruin every single character from the games that appeared in it.

hamsterand2dogs In reply to MJMJR [2011-10-04 05:20:09 +0000 UTC]

Oh good! Then I don't have to believe that a bunch of hatchlings were starving to death and that Starscream was the only who seemed to give crap about them since the Fallen's revenge was oh so more important than the continuation of their species!!!! Sorry, I have a soft spot for babies.

I remember playing the first one when I was little, it hard but I had fun watching my older cousin play it. Oh really? I gave up on the movies after watching one, not sure which one though.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to hamsterand2dogs [2011-10-05 14:13:53 +0000 UTC]

Yeah all of a sudden Starscream is a caring and nuturing being concerned with babies

Also Megatron takes orders from no one. To give him a boss was totally dumb. The guy even defied Unicron. He's going to tell a planet to get bent but put up with that other asshole? pfft!

Yeah, play Resident Evil on GameCube if you can get it or Resident Evil 2 on whatever platform you can find it for. They will scare the hell out of you and the stories are amazing.

The movies are terrible except for the CGI one with Leon and Claire. Avoid all the live action Resident Evil movies.

hamsterand2dogs In reply to MJMJR [2011-10-06 06:50:04 +0000 UTC]

You know the situation's bad when Starscream of all mechs is caring for the hatchlings. But hey, it's a concept that's fun to play with, make jokes of, and again, I love babies so I'm cool with it. Just don't get me started on the infantcide in ROTF and the highly probable infant mortality rate in DOTM.

Oh I know, that bugged me too! All his other incarnations didn't have a boss so why should this one? But you know what bothered me the most about his attitude in the movies, that he let that skank Carly (I have nothing against G1 Carly. But seriously, she was wearing all white during the climax and her clothes remained so clean? BULLSHIT!!!!) call him Sentinel's bitch and live! When she said that, I was hoping he would crush her and I was so disappointed that he didn't.

Well... I know one reviewer who might disagree with you on the game plots (look up Zero Punctuation on youtube). My brother has RE 4 on the Wii, so I watch him play sometimes.

I've been avoiding them, they confuse me too much. Can't say the same for my little bro thought.

This is why I hate the live action movies, nobody is in character except maybe Prime and everyone else acts weird and there are plot holes big enough for Metroplex to squeeze his ass through.

I know, I was waiting for her to get vaporized or at the very least stepped on.

Zero was poorly executed but it still had decent scares and an okay plotline. Resident Evil 1 through 3 are the best ones. Even with the dated graphics they are still awesome.

Yeah it was kind of surprising they went that route with him in the comics but it works. He's a complete and utter maniac and everyone is scared shitless of him. In a weird way I respect that.

Thanks it was fun to draw and color

L1701E In reply to MJMJR [2011-09-06 01:06:10 +0000 UTC]

Now that you think about it, it deos make sense. Primus is the closest thing the Transformers have to a god, and considering how human thay portray these beloved old robots, I shouldn't be surprised they'd have their own versions of crazy fundamentalists.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to L1701E [2011-09-06 10:51:10 +0000 UTC]

I know it makes sense but it's still kind of surprising they took that sort of angle with the character. He literally only appeared as a background character once or twice in the original cartoon and they never even gave him a name until the comics.

I just find it funny that they took a super obscure background character and made him a crazed zealot that is one of the most powerful Tfs ever.

L1701E In reply to MJMJR [2011-09-06 19:26:33 +0000 UTC]

It can be surprising what becomes a big hit.

That's what I love about background characters. You can really develop them in ways you may not be able to with main characters.

MJMJR In reply to L1701E [2011-09-07 00:12:42 +0000 UTC]

True. TF is pretty cool that way. An animator colors another character wrong in a battle scene and someone developes them into a new character with a unique origin. You have to respect creativity like that.

I love the Mega Man games myself. The gimmick of the gamesis really awesome, Mega Man getting the weapons that the Robot Masters wield after he beats them. Other games should use that gimmick.

MJMJR In reply to L1701E [2011-09-08 23:54:17 +0000 UTC]

I played some of the original NES ones but I wasn't as into them as say the first three Mario games or Castlevania 1 and 3.

I do like that he steals his enemies powers and can use them in his quest. I wish more games would allow something like that. I wish they had done something like that for RE4. I would have loved to run into the crowd with a chainsaw
