I'm happy to finally have the time to finish the second half of my tribute to the next chapter of the Star Wars saga: Episode VII! This time I have created the work after watching the film (a hundred or more times by now), and I'm glad my first design might appropriately fit some themes that might be explored in the these movies.My concept for the "Awakened" series is all about balance. Both characters have powerful ties to the light side and dark side of the Force. I'm very excited to see both Rey and Kylo's story arcs and what will happen in the next two episodes, as well as all the great things to come from Star Wars! Β

You have captured not only the new mythology perfectly, but done the whole series justice. Β This is a ground breaking piece of art. Β It captures the religious nature of star wars perfectly. This along with the Kylo piece are just modern masterpieces and they are not merely fan art. Β I am moved and would be love to hear more about your thought process. Β simply stunning.

I love this image of Rey. It's really different than any others I've seen. All the elements are reallyn basic, but it hints at so much more.

Love how you made the hilt blades of the red lightsabre draw to Rey's face on one side and replicate the Death Planet ray (heh "Rey" and "ray") Excellent piece of work!

Excellent composition and probably the most accurate Ray I have seen. Nice backdrop and the levitation is a nice touch too.

This is an absolutely amazing work of art! Β I do think the 'halo' around Rey's head should have either been blue or a balance of blue and red, but it is still wonderful. Β The hovering pose is inspired, and I am curious as to how you decided to draw her like that and how you actually pulled it off. Β Regardless, it looks superb!
