Welcome to ~Makku's spoopy Chaostober of lazy sketches, finished old WIPs and walls of text~!! Muahaha! (ok it's basically my normal month here on dA lol)
I made a poll about what you guys want to see, and finishing WIPs was got the most votes! Alrighty then! I'm happy I can finally get some of these old works done, there's a lot of good stuff I can ramble about. >8D
My plan was to take this month easy without any promptober stress (I really need to be doing some other stuff besides drawing frantically! xD), but this prompt list was too good and inspiring to not do!! I'm not doing all the prompts on the list, just some that inspire me the most to keep it easy and fun, and I chose Cale for the challenge because he's always a treat. (here's my picks!)
I don't have a schedule for posting the WIPs, but there's supposedly going to be at least one finished work per week. ^^ This is going to be a fun month!!

Let's begin with the Developmentober stuff! ...instantly with heavy themes.

1. In the beginning...
This is Cale's mom Vera, pregnant with Cale. Shame and self-hatred are in Cale's DNA.
Vera had nothing to do with her husband's gradually increasing interest towards white supremacy ideology. He wasn't a radical man when they got married, he had his quirks but Vera was so much in love she didn't pick them up. Eventually it became clear there was no turning back anymore. He became violent, and Vera, as his wife, expecting his child, was getting her part of people's hatred, as her husband was also punishing her for everything she did wrong. Vera was scared of the consequences if she left him. She was trapped, both fearing for her life and also sickened by her own ignorance.
Vera was free once her husband was imprisoned and they got a divorce. Cale was about a year old, and as much as Vera tried to love him, she was disgusted by this living reminder of her failure. Vera started a new life, but the self-loathing never left her. Drinking made it all feel more tolerable.

This is the first time I've drawn Vera, and I'm not sure about her appearance... I just know that she looks a lot like Cale and they both have the same piercing eyes. (But Cale just remembers her glassy , unfocused eyes.)
