Description

I had a dream where I was a struggling graphic artist/fantasy writer who rented a cheap, cramped, little, rundown West coast apartment. It was a very gritty and realistic setting for a dream. I could hear rats running to and fro in the ceiling over my bed as I tried to get some sleep. And my stoner, upstairs neighbors played rock 'n roll and death metal at all hours at really high decibels, so you hear the other neighbors swearing and hammering on their walls trying to get Korn and Rammstein silenced.

To supplement my meager income, I had to work as a fry cook at this fast-food establishment(I forget what it was called exactly, but it was one of those chain restaurants that churned out crap-quality cuisine and its employees peanuts). Unlike that square, yellow oddball SpongeBob SquarePants who's full of unstoppable optimism and cheerfulness; I am wracked with despair over my menial existence of poverty and servitude.

Then, unexpectedly, my rescue from the lowly depths of the service industry arrived in the form of a recently deceased great-aunt who bequeathed to me a house far out in the country. And there was also a vast fortune to go with it, but only if I resided there for ten years.

I was really puzzled by this inheritance because I barely knew this relation and the impression I got through chatting with the neighbors and lawyer were of an extremely avaricious and stingy woman who loathed humanity, but absolutely adored animals.

Shortly after my arrival to the house, I discovered several curious phenomenons. On each side of the house, there's a different season that can only be seen through the windows. The interior of the house seemed to be expanding like a snail shell, while maintaining the same exterior proportions. There is also a multitude of maze-like corridors and rooms leading off from a single hallway. All of these rooms and hallways are completely red and lit by unknown light sources, consisting of small mosaic patterns on all the walls, floors, and ceilings. A undecorated beige door also appears inexplicably in the attic where previously there was only a blank wall. I found this door leads to a pretty European-type town which I assumed was in France somewhere. However, this world wasn't set in my universe, and the people there (judging by their bright feather hair and large-lemur like eyes) weren't exactly of the same genus as me.

Eventually, I found out that this great-aunt of mine was also a witch and had to pay protection money in the form of stolen antiques and artifacts from around Faerie and the Mortal Realm to the forces of darkness. But at least I got a nice place all to myself.

Good. I'm glad to hear that. BUT, if you even talk negative about Korn, I'd have to beat you to the ground. Metaphorically speaking.

I have their 5 albums, and a live DVD. Sorry about what I said. I didn't mean to say that.

That's okay. I just have four albums of theirs--Issues and Follow the Leader which I got at a yard sale and Korn and See You on the Other Side. I downloaded from LimeWire. I had to get rid of LimeWire because it was taking up too much space on my hard drive.

it is an awesome dream, although a bit creepy and puzzling at some point and actually, dreams are often way more detailed than one would expect.. I think you were wandering inside your own mind (like always, in a dream)

It is a nice work

Thanks. I'm trying to incorporate this dream in a graphic story I'm currently working on.

Heh heh, cool dream. Yeah, I have dreams about houses with all sorts of rooms and stairways and such and I want to explor them all. Usually the rooms are stuffed full of junk. Maybe this is where all your aunt's 'ayments' are stored

Yes, maybe. I really don't why Hell requires payment to made in the form of antique stuff instead of money or souls.
