I'm wondering if I could post this picture to Tumblr? I made a blog that's basically just meant to be a collection of art for this book series, and what art exists is 90% on this site so I'm asking around for permission! You would of course be credited as the artist/post would be linked back to this page here. Would you mind me doing this or no?

Sure! There's a tumblr tab right under the share function next to the image. It makes it really easy to share from deviantart to tumblr, and embeds a link back to the original picture here on DA. I also have a tumblr @scribbleymarkΒ

I don't know how I missed commenting on this before, but I'll do it now! This looks fantastic. (It's ever so much better than the wacky cover of my copy of Dark Moon...) It makes me want to draw Jan for the first time in ages... Maybe I will! Thanks.

Do you know which one I'm talking about? The crazy crayon/cut out-looking one? Just...wow.

This one? O.o [link]
All I have is the omnibus...and if youve seen it, you'd know its looks like it was drawn by a 10 year old girl. Someone paid someone else MONEY to draw that? They could've paid ME money! Alas!

That's the one... And I said the exact same thing when I saw it.

This picture is excellent! I like how you put the moon sliver over his head and the flame on his hoof.
I agree that this would a MUCH better cover. My three-year-old cousin could draw a better cover than what they have.

Thanks for the fav. I'm going to look up the firebringer series- it looks mythological/apocalyptic?
The dynamics - the falling horse, rearing, the strike of flame against the very very black, dense night- fantastic.

Yes, the Firebringer trilogy is a mythological tale with a bit of an apocalyptic edge. The trilogy is suffused with a sense of dread and urgency...at any rate, its a strange read (in a good way) and well written (The second book is my favorite...) Anything you can find my Meredith Ann Pierce is worth the read, though.
Anyway, thank you very much for your encouraging comments! >.< Your work is very powerful as well!

I would love to send them my cover...x.x but there's not even an email address for the author, anywhere! Apparently, she has no known address. She's hiding from the crazy fangirls (like me.) ALAS! @.@
