Description Puffin!

Watercolor crayons, pencil, and my fantastic Promarkers.

Edit: the rock is a little better now.

Rock texture is damned frustrating.

a little more shading on the rocks, and the bird, might help.

Omg puffin!

It looks a little asymmetrical, just a bit too heavy on the left side. Maybe if you added some rocks to the right side?

The rocks are just generally problematic in this. I really shouldn't have uploaded it before I fixed them up.

Oh, well. Edit coming tonite.

Don't make your rocks so two dimensional because in real life, few rocks are two dimensional.

Yeah, these rocks are waaaay too flat. I spent a few hours last night stippling and shading them, and I'll upload the edit sometime tonight.

When I used to draw... ages ago when I was still a young'in... I would put squiggly lines next to the feet to make it look like they were on whatever surface it was... but that's just the amateur in me talking and you're obviously better than that at this point >_<

And I am in love with this thing...

Squiggly lines? That's a very interesting technique. I don't think I've ever seen it used before. I'll try it!
