Description A Valiant-Class capital ship of the Rothan Intersolar Republic Military, the RIV Mosket was named in honour of Admiral Yevgeny Mosket. Captain of the RSV Zephyr supercarrier during the Huroan Crisis, Mosket died when the ship was destroyed by the Escean Raxos railgun.

Roughly equivalent to Escea’s Pandoran-Class, the Valiant is a heavy cruiser forming the backbone of the IRM. Although the Valiant is slightly larger than its counterpart it is more lightly equipped in terms of overall firepower, an anomaly among most Rothan military designs. Like the Pandoran, the Valiant uses two 80cm railguns as primary armament, only stacked atop one another and mounted centrally in the bow of the vessel. Twelve dual-gun 100mm turret-mounted railguns are fitted to the flanks of the vessel, six to port and six to starboard, and six vertically-orientated orbital strike cannons are built into the belly. The vessels are also equipped with seven retractable railguns of 150mm calibre, mounted dorsally, and 28 individual 5-round missile launchers. Defensive armament is likewise similar to a Pandoran, consisting of anti-satellite missile defences, point-defence lasers and extensive ECM systems.

Valiant cruisers are heavily armoured with titanium internal structures layered in sheets of ceramic-alloy and DU cladding around vulnerable areas such as the CIC and engine room. In terms of protection, the Valiant-Class is on equal terms with its rival and can use its D-Drive to provide a brief kinetic shield in emergency situations.

Each ship draws power from two RBT V-Non aneutronic reactors and relies upon four nine-cluster ion thrusters for primary propulsion and Home Dimension FTL flight. As with most contemporary spacecraft, Valiants are equipped with large Dimensional Drive cores to facilitate fast and cost-effective interstellar travel through the Underworld. A He3-Deuterium fusion plant supplies subsystem and redundancy power.

At full capacity, a Valiant can transport 6,000 Naval Infantry in addition to 500 crew, 15 Rapier starfighters, 10 Predator shuttles, 20 Y-88 MBTs, 10 T-75 APCs and 5,000 tonnes of cargo and supplies. Valiants are approximately 716m in length and at max capacity weight upward of 360,000 tonnes.

For the same reason as the Pandoran-Class, a Valiant lacks sufficient power to carry its own weight within the atmosphere and gravity of an Earth-like planet and remains in space for the entirety of its service life, including their construction at the IRM naval yards on Ceres, one of Mars’ moons. A single Valiant-Class ship costs roughly 328 billion Rothan Koche, approximate to 206 billion Escean Dura.

lol. I suppose it could be technically correct when they travel through the Underworld, which is a parallel dimension said to be 'under' the one we inhabit.
