Hmm, this stern piece is certainly quite different from the other two works of the Admirals which you had completed, Genocyber.
In a way, this one piece seems to be a partial amalgamation of the others, both opposing and also blending background/surrounding qualities of these. The outer orange hues carry a likeness to the picture of Kizaru, while the amorphous forms hearken to those of Aokiji.
My first impression is that the dark and fiery forms of Akainu are hardly contained by his figure. The formal Admiral's cloak/coat which he wears seems almost like a misleading gloss over his true nature, or like the shine of artificial recognition over a harsh authority.
Although the linework has no difference in weight and density of detail, your use of colors here is nicely balanced, and features some amusing and effective interpretations of his character(little though I know of it). The strange, liquid forms of magma behind him nicely compliment the finer linework of his body. Also, the minor variances in the shades of his cape seem to make it seem as if it were billowing or moving slightly; the mild hues of his suit also have the same effect, as there is a sense of motion, or perhaps that there is something before him casting such an uneven light: flickering fire.
Interesting work, Geno, and good to see.

Personally I think pink Hawaiian shirt under bad-ass red suit sounds like something Oda would do.
Especially with how epic of an asshole he is
I really love the magma too, it came out fantastic<3 This is definitely the best of the three<3
