My first Megaman drawing in...years.I really liked the retro american art of Megaman 9 showing Dr Wily. There wasn't any other art of what he looked like so I took some creative additions of the cloak and robotic arm. I thought it just fit.
Its like some unholy combination of Dr Satan and Davros.

Okay, explanation then.
You know how the version of Mega Man from the American box art for the first game is called Bad Box Art Mega Man? And Mega Man 9 and 10 emulated that kinda thing with the promo poster, featuring "updated" versions of BBAMM. Since Mega Man 9's promo poster was the first time Dr. Wily was shown in that style, then he would therefore be Bad box Art Dr. Wily. Whether or not the design is cool or not isn't the point, it's just a nickname related to the whole gimmick.

OK. That I get. I just don't know why MM9 Wily is considered bad. I know it's the name of the design, but seriously!!

I made no claims about what I thought of the design. I just applied the name. What I actually think of the design is it's cool, but doesn't really work with Mega Man. Not Mega Man Prime anyways.

Here we go, a scary take on Dr. Wily akin to SatAM's Robotnik. I just would like to occasionally see his mustache, and maybe give him pointed ears. Meh, much better than I could ever do. Don't mind me I'm just thinking out loud. This is cool.

i havn't scene the retro art of megaman 9, but i do think this reminds me a little bit of the Dr Wily from Battle Net. (from what i remember, i haven't seen that one in a long time)
