Oh, come ON you guys! I'm a conservative person, and even /I/ think this is funny. Honestly, if you don't understand that this is a SATIRE, you really need to pay attention in school. Can you not sense the sarcasm?
As for posting it at your school, I say go for it. If it was a regular high school, I would say no, as many high school just wouldn't get it, (as seen by many of your comments.) but I think art college kids would get it. 8)

What a joke! I can't believe how many people are taking this seriously. I think its hilarious. I guess it's because I take anthro. We've learned how anthropologists(and likely most of the human population) like to exoticize things that aren't "normal" to them. There's an awesome article that an anthropologist did on the culture Nacirema. Spell it backwards

At the time, there was a huge uproar because you couldn't bring over 2 ounces of ANY liquid on any US (and I think British) airline. The offending liquid of one of the first cases was a travel size mouthwash that some guy attempted to bring with him on the plane.

Brilliant indeed. *giggles* the 'muslin sack' looks like a condom, but I dearly love this. First time I've ever laughed so hard about being so pale. And yet, I still get taken aside at airports because apparently people with pink hair are more likely to be terrorists in the long run. ^_^

I think it is a really truthful piece. I lived in Dubai for 3 years and as soon as I tell someone that I lived in the Middle East they think terrorism or 3rd world countries, which is not the case. I can see how some people might be offended by this but how are we suppose to grow as a community if people cannot admit and accept what is happening around them. Great work.

lol it's interesting. I mean the piece made me think! I had to concentrate to get it and than i cracked up at it. Very funny, in a way. Rather stereotyping though, but still funny. I especially like the 40 vergins part. What rather I dislike is the skin tone advisory, but the idea still made me laugh ^^
