WARNING!For anyone who is a fan of slash and Yaoi: Don't like rants? Don't read it. I really mean it! There will be things said that can be seen as offensive for anyone who is a fan of the subject. It's not a personal attack, just my opinion about the subject. So......: be warned!!!!!
I'm becoming more and more agitated with all the Slash stories people write about movies I like. I swear HTTYD and Sherlock Holmes contains the most slash I have ever seen! Atleast 15 of the 20 stories contains slash!
While I have nothing against gay people, I do get offended by oversexed people who see in every close friendship an idea to express it as something gay. People make a couple out of Hiccup and Toothless and together they have sex. That's like having sex with your dog! (I see Toothless sometimes as a scaly pet) It's beastiality people, and it's disgusting.
Every one is allowed to have their own personal fantasies, but I get really tired of reading about everyone's dirty little fantasies on the internet. You probably think: Don't like it? Don't read, but sometimes people forget to put a warning in their story and I end up reading their dirty fantasies.
Every heard of true, close friendships? Yes, they do excist!
So that's why I have drawn this picture, to express my opinion about the subject. I can imagine Hiccup and Toothless being totally shocked if they read some of the stories people wrote. The reason I made Hiccup faint is because I have trouble drawing him XD

HA i agree, i haven't read any of them but some of the things are in there are just gross, seriously! i recon some people are just abusing the idea of loving somebody (or something) as a friend, i have nothing against it either but the whole idea of Hiccup + Toothless is just pure beastiality to me too! :/ i like fan fics sometimes but yes, they often don't have any warning and sometimes i'd have to stop reading them because it just sounds disgusting, so i get what you mean. It's like CSI with Furries, me being a furry and all i got very offended when i heard that almost half of the world population think Furries are people disguised in animals to have sex with other animals! that's only the dirty people that do that and of the Furry community at least 5-10% only do that. I know i just like the anthro stuff, the art and the idea of dressing up in a fluffy, cuddly suit making people happy is fun, but people don't have to abuse it.

Reminds me of a debate I had with someone over pairing Bolt with Mittens and they argued something about Bolt and Penny but its like Bolt is her pet and as close as they are, that's pretty much all they can be. I had made a Bolt and Mittens video and they got all bent out of shape.
And I agree fully that just because two characters are close they're automatically lovers, I see it all the time with other shows and bugs the heck out of me.

it bothers me that you can't love each other as family or friends nowadays. The Whole point of 'Frozen' was to show the love between two sisters, yet most of the Romance stories are about incest between them. And 'Arashi no Yoru ni' was Supposed to show the love between two best friends, yet When you see all the comments...And they are not the same species either!Β

What really and truly bothers me is that it seems like there can't be best bros in films anymore without them being sexualized and made to be all in love with one another. I feel its a big disrespect towards the original, often beautiful, idea the creators have.Β
I am so tired of being bashed because I don't agree with pairings like this. Now, don't get me wrong - I am all for gay rights. One of my good friends is gay as hell, and plans to marry his boyfriend. But when you've got these fangirls and boys warping the characters into something they want and start acting as if the characters belong to them, it really feels disrespectful (ie The Toothcup and Jack Frost/Hiccup pairing. I have exactely the same opinion as you. What annoys me greatly is that people tend to sexualize everything! I even catch myself thinking about it (without wanting to). Like when characters hug for a long time or are play-fighting with eachother, I sometimes think: 'That kinda looks sexual.'
It's because people tend to oversexualize things and it's becoming a hardwired thing in our brains. And it annoys me to no end!
You know which pairing disturbes me the most? The one with the Gravity Falls main characters. Brrrrr! They are brother and sister for crying out loud. Plus, it is 'slightly' based on the creator's (Alex Hirsch) childhood. That guy must have had some nightmares from some of 'fan-art' drawn. If I were in his shoes I would feel really insulted and disgusted by it.

Well, yaoi is not my thing. But if someone likes it I will not judge them for it. Everybody got their own thing. It's just when people forget to censor it, that it irritates me.

I totally agree with your opinion on this matter. I too am disgusted with the junk posted about my favorite animated movie. Seeing some of this stuff when i'm browsing fan fiction makes me sick. In fact I'm doing a fanfic myself, I feel like the HTTYD fanfic realm has been dis honored by these immensely horrific stories.

Personally, the Toothless/Hiccup pairing doesn't bother me that much. If anything, I find it hilarious. Obviously I don't ship them, but I'm fine with people shipping them if they really want to.

I don't get why some people pair up a human and an animal (if the animal were a humanoid furry that could walk and talk and do humanish stuff, then yeah, I can see how it could possiblyΒ work but a dragon and a human..? sounds like the most romance you'll get out of it is a dragon humping your leg like a dog. )
