Description
In chapter one of "Koiji", Sakaki dresses up in a formal kimono for Kirin's welcome back party. Married women wear a slightly different kimono from young girls; the sleeves are shorter, the obi is tied in a drum knot instead of the elaborate butterfly knot, and the colors are more subtle and reserved. As Kai's mate, Sakaki wears a simple design of reeds and lotus flowers on her favorite color of green.Prismacolor markers

Reading about Sakaki, she really came off as a gentle soul, and seeing her in the flesh (or the paper, heh) really solidifies that opinion. She looks so at peace.

I love the composition of the image. The colors you chose for her clothing really compliment skin tones and hair color, and the positioning you've chosen makes her seem both casual and serene. Especially with her body at a three quarter angle, and her face to the viewer. You've made her so that she's looking off the page, which gives off a sense that she's not posing, but instead has had her true self caught on camera (so to speak) when she was least expecting it.
Wonderful color choice, pose, and above all, shading. (It's hard to shade with prismacolor markers, so you have my profound respect.)
