Do you start dark colors to light or vice versa?

I start with dark colors, add strong lights, and then complete the space between them with greys

Ohhh ok. Thank you very much! I suck at painting (so far) and have never really been taught a technique. I may try this out.

Nobody's taught me either, so I try to find my own technique I'm going to post a simple tutorial about this kind of speedpainting soon, and make a Speedpaint Challenge for those who try it. You might like it
