Excellent tutorial and very informative on flight
I just want to point out a thing when I draw dragon bat wings I draw a structure made ofΒ cartilage from the elbow to give more stability to the wing. It's not a solid bone and I agree with you that when artists make it into a solid bone or even an extra digit (or multible digits!) I can get this annoyed cringe in the back of my head
But I think it's okay if you make it into a subtle thing, you know just to stabilize a big and perhaps stylized wing...
Anyway keep up the great work!

In my next tutorial about dragons there's something about it. When it comes to birds, well, you just cover the "seam" with a lot of feathers and voila!
