So after the polls people said design tut, here it is. Been working on it on and off in between commissions...Is this even helpful?!?! lsakjdf XD; It's so tl;dr - I could fill pages upon pages about this stuff. But I don't have enough time.But yesu.
Feel free to ask if you've any questions.
I'm sure there's tons of typos I just...I'm tired but I was even more tired of seeing this peeking out from behind my other canvases LOL;

i as a person have always struggled considerably with clothes; not just drawing them, but designing and thinking up ideas for creative and eye-pleasing clothing.. i always fail miserably though and end up with a button-up t-shirt (easiest to draw, no?) and some random jeans. i'm so sick of it but i'm really a very uncreative person. have you any tips for me? any clothing sites? anything really? i tried googling but it didn't really help, the websites aren't that great. i'm especially into male-clothing as the majority of my OCs are men, and i find female clothing a little easier to do.
sorry if this is too much to ask for btw, i'm just so desperate to get better after 2 years of struggling! D: clothes seems the only thing that really pulls the rest of my art back.

UM. Well there's a lot of male fashion blogs on tumblr. If you search up the tag "fashion" from their main homepage it's quite easy to find several good ones - I would link you to something but I don't really know what kind of clothing you're looking to design, and there really is simply a limitless amount to the styles out there. my best advice would be study clothing. study clothing from different cultures, time periods, etc. study armors and weapons if you want. don't be afraid to "experiment".

i need this. for my life.i'm one of those people that thinks that they can just slap on a bunch of random stuff onto a character and it'll be a good design, but hopefully this can teach me some coordination. xD

I prefer this type of meandering pondering tutorial to the typical "step 1, 2 dragon" style tutorials, since they are more applicable for your own stuffs.
