Haon (Ha -ohn)
Haon are tree-like beings which whom were once worshipped as leaf spirits; as people learned of their mortality however, they slowly became known as another race. Though Haon primarily eat the shadows of trees, they have been known to cosume other races such as Humans and Byyst - some members of other races choose to treat them with caution for this very reason.

Despite the appearance of bark, their skin feels velvety to the touch, forming sections and plates all across their anatomy. They are able to have partial regeneration just like the plants they take so heavily after - regrown body structures however are often disfigured or non-functional.

Another race with a long life span, Haon commonly live to be beyond 500 years of age. Their bodies slowly mature and often slow down in growth significantly once in adulthood. Their age can be very hard to guess by their appearance alone, and only fellow race members seem to be able to accurately guage their true age.

Design Notes
Their skin and leaf coloration depend on the season they were born in, along with the volume of leaves present (Ex: sparse leaves if born in the winter, lush if born in the summer, etc.).
Eyes are a ring of sap-like substance that have evolved into visual receptors over time.
Horns are branch-like and varied in shape.
