Β Been doing A LOT of thinking about SIMULACRUM lately. As an artist and writer, I am constantly plagued by not only my own self doubt, but my willingness to take a project too big for me to handle. As I have been thinking about SIMULACRUM I have come to the realization that this is one of those projects I have made overly complicated and tried to inject too much stuff into it. That being the case, I am going to start from scratch and do a complete overhaul of the entire story. It has been bugging me for about a year now, that this story I thought I had so under control got so, well, out of control. So I'm reigning it all in, cultivating new ideas, and starting things over :3 Don't worry, the essential plot will be the same, the world will be the same, and so will the spirit. For all intents and purposes, the characters will be the same people you've come to know, but you may meet them at different times in the story, and they may serve different purposes. That being said, I am not going to reveal too much about this revision, but I will be sharing little tid bits here and there until I get into the swing of actually writing and posting the comic again.
Here are the new, current character designs for Kizzy, Sirius, Ara, and Pehz :3 hope you enjoy, and if you have any questions I will try to answer them if I can. Peace and love

OH LORD I finally found it. One day I'm like, "Hm, remember that sci-fi comic project I saw a couple years ago? I remember what the characters looked like but the name escapes me... OH NO what if she deleted everything?!"
You have no idea how crazy this drove me.

Hey, good for you, dude! It's always hard, writing a story and trying to keep track of how you want things to go down, and then the characters go off on their own thing and scenes happen that shouldn't have and oh, it's a mess. (it's actually what I'm going through too rn tbh...) But I respect you for handling it so well! And, as always, I am here to support you and your wonderful ideas. I've fallen so in love with your art and your characters and -- oh, just everything you do -- that no matter what you decide, you've got me cheering you on! Your style has improved dramatically and I can see you mature as an artist, and even though I don't always comment, I'm always lurking (lol) checking up on your progress. You are a HUGE inspiration to me, dude. You keep at it!
Also, these designs are drop dead gorgeous! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us!

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. I can't really express in words how much it means to me (especially after going through this kind of art depression) and also especially coming from someone such as yourself who's been following the project since it's early stages

Cool redesigns! I notice that Sirius and Pehz are the only ones that haven't changed much compared to Kizzy and Ara. I like how Ara is rockin' those curves!

Yup, as for Pehz i've only slightly changed his hair a bit, and Sirius is pretty much the same
Rilo, will be in the story as one of the villains, yes :3 He will be slightly different in his backstory and purpose though, and perhaps a bit more sympathetic? that's all I will say for now though

Anyways, how were you inspired to change Ara's design? The reason is because I notice that most female protagonists in fiction are skinny or have an hour glass figure and rarely do I see any curvy girls in fiction let alone a protagonists. I am curious if that had anything to do with wanting to represent diverse body types of women.

It's so funny you post this because the exact same thing is happening with my Ace of Spades saga; I've realized after taking a break from it that it's just too big and too complex. So I'm also taking a retrospective and re-planning and redesigning and all that fun stuff

UGH! I absolutely love them!
I love how different yet the same they feel, but more so the earlier!
THOSE BODY SHAPES AND FACIAL STRUCTURES THO!
For some reason Kizzy's hair makes me extraordinarily happy, *O* though I hope she puts it in fluffy pufftails like before for a every special occasion or so as a callback!
Sirius has stood against the test of time and is fabulous, per the norm.
Ara's redesign is so chubbdorable... It feels so intriguing and I cannot wait to see her fashion forward self in more awesome space outfits!
Pehz is cute too! He reminds me of another character... though Im having a hard time remembering! I can't wait to see him since he's the only one we haven't really seen in action!
My only question is... Can I fanartz the heck out of them *O*? XDDD Cause I can't wait!Β
