Description
Spent some time exploring abandoned places on the weekend with my 35mm camera in hand and my partner in art crime here at devart 3qd [link]We found a great little abandoned shack where we both went through a few rolls of film. I thought some of the color shots turned out pretty good so decided to share them. Some of my b/w photos of Shack T515 might find their way to devart in the future.

I love how the the dark, dull, rotting interior opposes the bright, lively green grass outside. I get the feeling of a prisoner looking out his cell window at the lush meadows below, and only being able to dream.
The balance of colors/contrast is great. fav.

what i really like about this study is the draw of the eye towards the greater color in the center of the image... this, overlaid with the contrast of rhomboid geometry play in the image.

I love the chipped paint around the windowsill. It makes for a really nifty contrast to the greenery outside. Nice photo!

It's like unquiet abandonment; I love the emptiness of the peeling insides contrasting with the lush fullness of the outside, it looks like a painting, it looks 'unreal' yet at the same time more real than real, because it seems to heighten the senses...

Oh, this is terrific, I love the whiteness the starkness of it, and the weathered texture on the window framing. The contrast is wonderful, and that breath of fresh air..the green, so vivid and full of life, on the other side of the view...a definite favorite.

I like series, this image and the previous one are good, but they would feel incomplete without the other, or if not that, they both add something to each other and broaden the vision conveyed by them.
