Description Um, I never know if I'm done with a piece or not but I'm just going to post it because I'm procrastinating on other things if I keep working on this.

My 5 year old daughter has taken to dressing up as Tinkerbell lately so this is what I imagine that she's dreaming about.

Prints and cards are available at Zazzle. [link]

This one is for the topic of "dreams" for January and can also be viewed here. [link]

What a lovely piece. I really like how you did the tablecloth - and the sweets of course.

This came out looking spectacular. You definitely got the sparkles down! Would be terrific framed and hanging on the wall.

Very cool. It reminds me of some designs by the fellow who art-directed the silent "Thief of Baghdad" and directed "Invaders From Mars." With a hint of Disney and, of course, a healthy dose of the moonfreadformula... which I hope contains wormwood or nightshade or a vectoral sum or somesuch.

I confess I had to look up who the art director was for Thief of Bagdad and Invaders From Mars and found an academy award winning production designer was who you were referring to. Thank you for the very grand compliment! I've had some trouble finding the actual art of William Cameron Menzies but I will continue my search because he seems to be worth looking up. Thanks again, I'm glad people seem to like this piece for the most part.

HOLY COW!! You knocked this one out of the ballpark Kathleen!!! I think this is your lushest, most rich piece yet! I love the colors and the brushes you used!! It's so warm and inviting, yet very soft.

This is really, really beautiful. Amazing.

Thank you so much for the and the gracious compliments. I was trying to make it kind of dreamy with the faded colors and a lot of sparkly stuff.

cute! Colors are a bit greyish and damp though, might want to lift the spirits by adjusting the saturation in photoshop/paintshop.

Thanks for the compliment. I am trying to make it more dreamlike so that's primarily why the colors are a bit foggy and muted. I also am more partial to the desaturated pallet most of the time but I appreciate your suggestion. Thanks!

you can always make 2 versions, one a less saturated version, and one a more saturated one.
