This is the final drawing in my series of Elemental Dragons

I had no idea what I planned to draw for the Air dragon when I started... then this happened. I'm not sure what the pose is supposed to be, other than- "airy", i suppose. For each dragon, I carefully planned an eye colour that would stand out against their scales, but not look seasonal (red eyes on the green dragon didn't look that Christmasey, so I'm satisfied) So I thought that an all-black eye design might look cool on a silvery white dragon. I don't know about you, but I quite like it, even if it looks a bit creepy.

In all, I'm very happy with the results. Each scale didn't really get shaded in this one, merely because they're white, and there isn't much shadow I could put without overdoing it. As for the entire series of drawings, I'm also quite happy with those, too I've never done a distinct series before, much less one that I didn't plan until after the first drawing was done as a single piece.

The name "Ouranous" comes from the ancient Greek myth of the male titan/deity that joined with Gaia and produced the heavens and the earth, long before the reign of the gods. Ouranous was the sky component, so it seemed to fit well with the rest of the series.

Estimated time: uhm... I believe it was 3 or 4 hours?
