Dang, I kind of wished I had submitted this deviation prior to the one before it, 'cause that other one's slightly more technically impressive and this one is just experimental junk (openCanvas watercolor!), and yet this piece is stuck on my front page 'till I get off my lazy butt and draw something else XD Geez, people, what more do you want from me?

So! I've been watching My-HiME a lot lately, and felt like drawing one of the lesser appreciated characters, Yukino! I like her a lot; she's pretty quiet and reserved, but really dedicated and thoughtful (and to my friends that know about That Thing I Do, nooo I'm not biased, really XD). I haven't seen any fanart for her (then again, I haven't exactly looked ) so there you go. I wouldn't say she's my favorite character, but she's an interesting one none the less.

All the characters are interesting, really! I think that's what drew me in to the show is that the characters are all distinct and fun to watch, and a strong cast is imporant for me when watching anime/reading books/playing games. The show's like a sci-fi magical girl show, with a good mix of comedy and drama... It can be pretty fanservice-y, though, so watch out for that. (though I've heard My-Otome, the psuedo-sequel, is even more so)

You often see Yukino with a laptop when she's in the Student's Council room, if you're wondering about why it's there. Reference is for weenies, you know my policy, so I'm not sure if it looks exactly like that but meh. I added the HiME symbol on the back 'cause I needed SOMETHING there to take up space 8D I mean, sure, I could use the Apple logo or something, but that would be expected.

I didn't look up reference for the school uniform, either, so I'm sure it's probably wrong somewhere. And yeeees, Mori-chan's quite well aware Yukino's body proportions are kind of wonky here, but I haven't slept in a while so I'm going to use that as a cheap excuse ^_^ I like how her head/face/hair turned out, at least! Usually I find that's what kills my pictures, but I think it looks well enough here.

I'm getting a liiiittle better at drawing eyes, don't you think? Now if only I could keep my eye-style consistant... (nah!)
