i love these two series! actually read the tawny man one first but i've read them both so many times now i've lost count! this really looks like him, although i always thought of him as looking a little more careworn i guess. love that you've put nighteyes in the background. is that inks you've used?

Yep, simple black felt-tip jobs that you can buy for two bucks at any decent newsagent. I'm still not entirely happy with this one and may redo it yet again in the future.

Poor fitz - he had such a hard life. Love the way you have nighteyes in the background, you've got his face just right. I always see him as being much more battered than that though - with his broken nose and everything.

Yeah. I drew this about a year and a half ago, and I find my mental image of him tends to age with me
If I was to try again, I'd make him a bit bonier, brows and cheekbones more prominent from his many physical deprivations.

Its more difficult to find an artist who does like their work, I think its part of the territory.
