capture of a couple of the lilys in my garden pond that were mostly in shadow but picked out by a touch of sunlight.very happy as this was exactly the result i was hoping for awhile taking the photographs.

thanks - i am so pleased with this image - the lighting was exactly how i wanted it picking the lilys out from the shadows. the sunlight was moving around very quickly and the effect was changing all the time but fortunatly i grabbed a few shots to be sure and this one came out just right. i do love when what i see through the view finder looks the same on my monitor screen

It's beautiful. The lighting makes it seem almost abstract - the flowers are disembodied shapes - and this makes their lovely fragility even more striking.
