Hey ! this is the prize for ; it's been a while since the last time I drew Galadriel alone.Aaaanyway, it's a sort of sequel of the drawing "see you in Valinor"
So, here is the Lady on her way back home after 3 Ages of Exile (though I never imagined this journey as a joyous one...there's something sad in it)
The summer is coming to an end, so I used really vivid colors with the sky ; I hope it's not bad.
PS : OMG, some people should be banned from writing fanfictions ! (Crossdressing Elrond should be illegal, GaladrielxArwen is baaad, threesome between Celeborn, Galadriel and Haldir as a teenager is baaad ! ...my poor brain...how can so young people be so crude and precise about sex ?)

thanks, everybody is always writing about the joy when she left but I think it was heartbreaking... of course Valinor was her home but she arrived in Middle Earth when she was around 250 years old, she's leaving this place at more than 6500 years old...she married there, she had a child who had children....Middle Earth has become her home...

There's a strange ghostly feel to the image, sorta like someone outside of time. I like that.

well, thanks, I'm glad that you notice it. The "out of time" feeling is a characteristic of the elves. The same way that time passes slowly and quickly for them... because they're so old and never change

I'd really like to join her. The weather seems amazing 
but now about the picture. I really like the effect with the sun which shines onto her hair and makes it glow :3 her face seems a bit sad but strong and hopeful. Great one!
By the way I really agree with you in the point of fanfictions xD
there are several I'd like to forbid. Crazy stuff o.O usually I read the artist's comment before reading the actual story. To be warned xD

agree, especially in these dark seasons you need the sun. I'm always glad when it's sunny outside. So I try to catch as much sun as I can for the cold and dark winter day

About a year ago, I came across somebody who pared Eomer with Gandalf. I had trouble sleeping for two weeks and stopped reading fanfiction for a while. It still makes me shudder if I think about it

Eomer x Gandalf ? it's so random (though I found a lot of weird paring with Gandalf... Celeborn/Theodred or Celeborn and his twin grandsons !

You see, Eomer is one of my favourite characters and if people pare him up with Gandalf or whatever. I am like Stay away from Eomer!!!
There are some characters that are just to be left alone (Like Galadriel and Celeborn. Or Elrond, Arwen/Aragorn). I mean, Tolkien wrote them like that. Don't mess with the masters characters.
Sorry for my rambling! I always get a bit carried away with this topic (You should hear some discussions I have with a friend about them. She can be a bit scarry with characters sometimes...).

I agree completely with your comment on fanfic. Some stuff I have read and it is just so bad I feel embaresed for the character. I feel as if I have to defend their honnour! And they're not even real! (But oh how I wish they were!) XD There is some beautiful pieces of work out there, the issue is shifting through all the crap to find it! We will have to make another site, good lotr fic only. Nope even that woudn't work!

yay, fortunatly there's still good fanfictions' websites about LoTR but it's harder to find than the crap. I'm like you, I feel like I kinda have to defend their honor, I wonder what Tolkien would think of this !
