I actually started this drawing several years ago. For the longest time it sat in a folder as only a head. Today I finished the body and background! It's based on a photo I took of a mule deer fawn living in the backyard (whom we named Rannoch).This will be matted and donated to Art on the Hoof at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Yay for the art thingy at the zoo, it's so cool that you and Stace donate to it every year. How many years have you done this now? Two? anyhoo, love the muley, reminds me of CO ^^ the lighting is nice and warm, despite the snowy ground, reminds me of springtime. Love the coloring and shading on the deer too, nice job!

Thank you! This is our 3rd year doing it, I'm super excited for it this year ('cause I actually made some decent-sized pieces). Can't wait! Thought it turns out I'm not donating this one. It won't fit into any of the Hobby Lobby mats, so I'm hanging on to it
