Where: Natura ARTIS Magistra Amsterdam, The Netherlands
I don't know what was going on with this Giraffe, but he was getting in a lot of tongue yoga.
Species: Reticulated or Somali Giraffe (Netgiraf)
Latin name: Giraffa Camelopardalis Reticulata
Originates from Somalia, southern Ethiopia and northern Kenya.
Current status: Not Evaluated
Did you know:
…The Reticulated Giraffe has very clearl defined dark patches in it’s pelt, with bright-whitish channels between them. For that reason it can be distinguished from the Rothshchild’s and Masai Giraffe.
