I cropped this photo a little bit, and adjusted the colors.
I have to be completely up front, because this photo is an absolute Raccoon Dog favorite of mine
He looks a tad cross-eyed, but truly adorable. I can't remember how exactly we'd caught his attention to catch him gazing up at us this way, but it's awesome!

Latin name: Nyctereutes Procyonoides
Originates from Europe and Asia.
Current status: Least Concern

Inderdaad ook in dezelfde dierentuin. Dierenrijk ligt zowat in m'n achtertuin

Zou je zeker moeten doen! Ik woon er ook redelijk dicht bij en ga er vaak naartoe. De wasbeerhondjes zijn wel een paar van de leukste beestjes daar. Ook al zijn ze niet zo vaak in beweging is het ook heel leuk om te zien hoe ze in een hoop op elkaar liggen in de koude wintermaanden. Maar de poolvosjes zijn ook zeker het bekijken waard!

Zit m'n oude foto's van toen ff te bekijken. Zitten behoorlijk slechte tussen. Nog een reden om een keer terug te gaan

It's really uncommon where I live too. They don't live in the Netherlands in the wild of course, but I know only one other zoo I've visited (and I've visited quite a few) where they had raccoon dogs. But in the zoo I took this pic they are really sweet and I'm glad I've had the opportunity to take some great pic's

It's cute indeed, but I don't think it would be a great pet. Though it seems often verry cuddly with the long fluffy hair, sweet pig-like nose and big brown eyes :3
