I always look forward towards the possibility of seeing a Snow Leopard. We haven't been incredibly lucky over the years, only getting glimpses, if we were lucky for longer than 5 minutes. These days, compared to those early ones, we have a better idea of what we're actually doing, as well as more patience.
Getting in a good position with a decent angle proved to be crucial with these Snow Leopards. They have a vast enclosure, offering higher and lower ground places for them to lounge, with a few spots where visitors could watch them from behind (not overly clean) glass. I was planning to catch the walking Leopard on camera, but this proved too difficult - especially sitting crouched, wedged in a camera, with people crowding me way too close for comfort. But when this Leopard walked up to that ledge, she provided us with the greatest honor of remaining seated there. Long enough for me to play with full-body and portrait images (even as a leaf kept bowing over her head).
