Last year, we didn't see the Striped Hyenas for some time, so I went up to one of the zoo keepers and asked if there were still two or not.
He told me, keeping a straight face, "There were still two when I opened the hatch this morning". M still laughs thinking back to that answer
Species: Striped Hyena (Gestreepte Hyena)
Latin name: Hyaena Hyaena
Originates from North and East Africa, the middle East and Central Asia.
Current status: Near Threatened
