Where: Texel Zoo Oosterend Texel, The Netherlands
We see this Birds so often (seriously, no joke, there's an abudance of them in Dutch zoos) and they're always sitting out in the open. When you spot a Bird in an indoor aviary, it's very likely it's one of these. But when you actually try to photograph them, it never works out.
This time, I really did my best to give it my all and he even gave me a pretty side view
Species: Common Emerald Dove (Smaragdduif)
Latin name: Chalcophaps Indica
Originates from the tropical and subtropical parts of the Indian Subcontinent and to its east.
Current status: Least Concern
