black chinese calligraphy ink (sumi) on xuan paper. B4 size.cover for a trilingual haiku zine (slovene-english-japanese), collaboration between ~cmrlj and me.

This reminds me a lot of old Japanese zen paintings... even though it's not 'that same', the simple black on white brings it back to mind.

Wow...this makes me want to improve my sumi skills even more! Unfortunately, I'm not practiced enough yet...did you teach yourself, or did you learn from a teacher? If you don't mind my asking.
