Description The next few deviations are all work that I produced during a 6 week period that I spent in Prato, Italy, in (their) summer last year.

Not a pretty sight for the planet below. Alien abstraction for fun and profit. I still hadn't gotten on to actually using watercolours yet, still just pen and water, and a scalpel here and there.

Nice design! Alien and abstract, just as it claims on the box

By "water" - do you mean water? Did you dilute pen with it? Or watercolours? I am slightly confused, but looks like a very handy and stylish shading technique for "on the go" situations.

yep, just waterβ€”I had a shot-glass of water and was just pushing around the ink from a soluble fine-liner.
(which is all fun but was a bit annoying when it actually came to using watercolours, where you don't want the lines to wash away, a non-soluble one was handy there)

Thanks

Ah, "soluble" is the key word here. I will try to look for one here, seems like an interesting technique to try. Thanks for the explanation.

nice. These ones remind my of the inking techniques used in the Blame comics.

not a bad one. but long enough to promote self-eye gouging for me I never got past book three (of like 60)

Yup, pretty nice. but I agree that 60 books is a little ridiculous. Anyways, nice work.
