There are cartoon shows, and then there's 'Darkwing Duck'. I had always been curious about the character Darkwing, so, one day, while I was deep in the winding maze of youtube, I chanced upon a random MEP with the character. I was intrigued, so I looked up more videos.10 minutes later, I had purchased the entire series bootlegged. Yeah. I still don't quite know how it all happened. I think I was possessed, or something. But, anyway, it happened.
Megavolt and Quackerjack are the shit. Really, they make the show. Especially Megs and his amazing voice acting (compliments of the one and only Dan Castellaneta, whom I adore).

Dude, it's okay. I didn't call them "A shit" a referred to them as "THE shit". There's a big difference. Referring to something as being "the shit" is an expression of highest praise. Well, it might not be the most "polite" form of praise, but I'm not the most "polite" person in the world-- I'm kinda crude.
I used sanguine and sepia pens, watercolour, white pencil, and white gel pen. And thank you!

This is fantastic - I LOVE The style itself here, with the colouring, the lighting, the shadowing.
The thing is, the media you've used, and the way you've used it, should actually have given this piece a very creepy vibe, but I don't find it spooky, which is incredibly well done from your part - I can't entirely explain why, but even with this gritty, darker version, you can still tell these lovable villains are still themselves and so very in-character.
Megavolts pose cracks me up and works SO perfectly well, especially alongside Quackerjack and his HUGE shiny teeth - his eyes I find truly fascinating too. As always Banana-brain creeps me out.
All in all I ADORE this piece - truly magnificent; and yes... I have to admit, not being a big fan of slash, those two were a true canon-couple.

I guess I did kinda go "gritty" and "dark", but I swear it was unintentional. Well, actually, most of the stuff I do, it starts out somewhat innocent, then when I take the pen and watercolour to it...it morphs into something kind of frightening. I must be possessed. It's probably Paddy-Whack.

Yes. Yes you do. They have quite a few episodes on Youtube, but you can also get the whole thing pretty cheap on Ioffer.com; that's where I got mine.
