While I can appreciate sad endings to romances (as long as they're done well, one such example being Cappy and Kasumi (I mean, yeah they're dead, but hey, better for lovers to die together in unfortunate circumstances than to leave one standing, eh?)), I hope you don't look down too much on people like me, who plan on their paired characters in most of their stories finding true happiness. I'm a weak-willed shmuck who's willing to put my characters through a lot, but ultimately ends up loving them all (even the minor ones) to the point where I have to put forth a bite-the-bullet effort in order to make them die tragically if it's not a slightly/majorly cliched method done by other storytellers that I'm just tryin' to make my own for my stories.

It’s been awhile since I posted this picture so I can’t remember what my rant said or what impression it gave to you. My current feelings: there ain’t nothing wrong with happy love stories with the moral of hard work and perseverance will make everything a-okay.
In fact, I just got done watching ‘Wristcutters: A Love Story’ and was super thrilled it ended happily.
Sometimes, though, I think we all need a sad story to remind us things don’t always end well or have a greater purpose. And I think I mention that the deaths come towards the middle of the story, which would then put one of my most miserable characters in a position of having to be a leader and carrying on the legacy.
And that life goes on in the midst of huge tragedy.

I bet this idea came to you in the bathroom. The eureka moment was when you yelled out "Why does it burn so much when i twinkle, help, all I see is fire, its every where, aaaaaaaahhh, thats it,all finished" Then you ran out the bathroom to draw and forgot to wash your hands. Even the clap inspires you. The 100 dollars you invested in that hooker gave you a return of false hope of love and a huge burning sensation that inspired this picture.

I guess this means there's no sequel?
The range you display is awe inspiring. From retarded transformer humor to regular retarded humor to one of the best works of art you have ever done.
The emotion you have conveyed with the looks on their faces.
This piece is very moving.
So moving I think I am going to puke right now. : )

I appreciate the compliment (not enough to reply in a timely manner, of course). It'll be a little awkward when I begin posting jokes with those characters as if nothing happened.
But YOU'LL know what'll happen.

I have to agree with you. I love romantic scenes. In my RP group, while everyone's screwing around (littereally) I always try to do romance scenes.
Also, sad endings are so nice. It's something different and it provokes feeling other than "oh yeah, they got away safely woopdy freaking do."
Finally, that was the sweetest Artist's Comments you've ever written. You should draw out your comic sometime.

Other than this horrid rendition, my Cappy Crew stories will be confined to the artist descriptions.
When I die from my second handed cocaine addiction, and only after my death will tweenagers discover my ingenious characters, I expect you to lead them in the fanart project of illustrating all these Cappy Chronicles notes.

This is fantastic! I was really shocked seeing this thumbnail because I recognized the style, but even though it was only a tiny little picture, I could tell this was going to be really powerful.
This really shows what a talented artist you are, and your descriptions at the end added to it wonderfully.
As for your rant, you still managed to make your points with humor. Well done. And I have read some recovered Civil War letters, they are romantic. But maybe because there wasn't enough technology at the time to give couples constant contact (Like computers and email), that when they sent letters they possibly see it as their last. While now, people can have more regular contact, so could the letters are less heartfelt and more casual as a result? Just guessing, because that's how it is with some army wife friends of mine. But their boyfriends/husbands are in Afghanistan, not Iraq.
Your description from your characters' point of view were really heartfelt and human. That's pretty profound.
Great job, Cappy. And some of your story ideas to develope minor characters with Cappy and Kasumi's deaths sounds pretty good. Especially if you make it part of the central plot, not just a sub story.

What?! How dare you try to analyze my rants with such archaic techniques like "logic"!
Though that is a pretty good guess.
The problem with film deaths are that if it's not dramatic, then you're guaranteed the person is still alive. Just to go against the grain, I want to off my characters on a seemingly normal situation with no real closure; it helps to explore that some things happen in an instant and for no good reason.

Seriously though, good for you for not only being able to kill off your characters, but on having decided how it would happen way before sharing the majority of the story and all...though that might be kinda creepy...either way, I was impressed.
